Tragedy Strikes Three Families in Separate Domestic Violence Cases

Posted on September 3, 2025 By admin

In Chelan County, Washington, three sisters—Olivia, 5, Evelyn, 8, and Paityn Decker, 9—were found dead after visiting their father.

Reported missing on May 30, 2025, their bodies were discovered days later near a campground, with police confirming asphyxiation as the cause.

Their father, Travis Decker, remains the prime suspect and is still at large. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $330,000 to support their grieving mother.

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, a house fire on May 24 revealed three family members fatally shot. That same morning, a fourth body—believed to

be the shooter—was found nearby in an apparent suicide. Authorities suspect mental health struggles played a role, though investigations continue.

On May 21 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a housekeeper discovered a family of four dead. Authorities say the mother, with a history of psychiatric treatment,

stabbed her husband and two sons before taking her own life. A note and troubling social media posts suggested emotional instability.

These unrelated tragedies underline the urgent need for mental health awareness and early intervention in preventing

domestic violence. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or text “HELLO” to 741-741 for help.
