The community is grieving the tragic loss of Aleia Kuhn, a lively 15-year-old who died just days before turning 16.
Aleia passed away in an accident during a youth event at Philippi Baptist Church on June 18, 2025, leaving family
and friends heartbroken. Social media has been filled with messages of condolence as people remember her bright spirit and kind nature.
Aleia’s mother, Amanda Schroeder-Kuhn, shared her deep sorrow in a heartfelt Facebook post, referring to Aleia as her “sweetest baby girl” and “forever angel.”
Amanda requested prayers for her family, including Aleia’s father Christopher and her brothers Corben and Colter. She called Aleia her “backbone and heart”
and spoke about the pain of losing someone so precious.
Aleia’s father, Christopher Kuhn, also honored his daughter with a moving tribute. He mentioned her strong faith and described her as a
“beautiful sweet God-fearing daughter” who remained steadfast in her beliefs. His message expressed a father’s deep love and grief, revealing
how much he misses her and hopes to be reunited one day.
Though Aleia’s life was tragically short, she made a lasting impression on all who knew her. At school and on the volleyball court,
she was admired for her kindness, cheerful nature, and unwavering faith. As her family and community mourn, they hold on to the
hope that Aleia’s joy in Heaven is full and that they will see her again.
