Man Spotted Cheering After Tragic Shooting Speaks Out About His Actions

Posted on September 16, 2025 By admin

A viral video from the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University sparked outrage after showing

a bearded man in a cap raising his arms as if cheering. Millions assumed he was celebrating Kirk’s death. The man,

identifying himself as David, has since clarified the situation, saying his actions were misunderstood.

David explained he initially thought the loud crack was fireworks or a prank. When panic spread, he shouted “USA! USA!”

not to mock but to calm the crowd and project strength. “I would never cheer for someone’s death.

I just wanted to stop the panic,” he said. He also insisted he is unfamiliar with Kirk’s content and harbors no ill will toward him.

Though David admitted his behavior may have been misinterpreted, he described the scene as chaotic. In later remarks,

he cryptically referenced “my soldiers” and called himself “the happiest person you ever met,” without elaborating.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, identified as the shooter, was arrested after a manhunt, reportedly turned in by his father.

The attack, which killed Kirk, shocked the nation and drew widespread condemnation. David’s

explanation underscores how easily chaotic moments can be misread online in the aftermath of tragedy.
