\nLittle Sally led off: \u201cI sold girl scout cookies and I made $30,\u201d she said proudly, \u201cMy sales approach was to appeal to the customer\u2019s civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cVery good,\u201d said the teacher. Little Jenny was next: \u201cI sold magazines,\u201d she said, \u201cI made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events. \u201cVery good, Jenny,\u201d said the teacher.. Eventually, it was Little Johnny\u2019s turn. The teacher held her breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher\u2019s desk. \u201cI made $2,467,\u201d he said. \u201c$2,467!\u201d cried the teacher, \u201cWhat in the world were you selling? \u201cToothbrushes,\u201d said Little Johnny. \u201cToothbrushes!\u201d echoed the teacher, \u201cHow could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money? \u201cI found the busiest corner in town,\u201d said Little Johnny, \u201cI set up a Dip and Chip stand and gave everybody who walked by a free sample. \u201cThey all said the same thing, \u201cHey, this tastes like dog crap!\u201d
