A farmer stopped by the local garage to have his truck fixed. They couldn\u2019t do it while he waited, so he said he didn\u2019t live far away and would walk home. On the way home he stopped at the shops and bought a bucket and gallon of paint. He then called at a friends farm and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling he now had a problem \u2013 how to carry his entire purchases home? While he was scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost.<\/p>\n

She asked, \u201cCan you tell me how to get to 16 Mockingbird Lane ? \u201cThe farmer said, \u201cWell, as a matter of fact, my farm is very close to that address. I\u2019d walk you there if I didn\u2019t have this lot to carry. \u201cThe old lady suggested, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you put the can of paint in the bucket. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm an d carry the goose in your other hand? \u201cWhy thank you very much,\u201d he said and proceeded to walk her home. On the way he said \u201cLet\u2019s take my short cut and go down this alley. We\u2019ll be there in no time. \u201cThe little old lady looked at him cautiously then said, \u201cI am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won\u2019t hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and have your way with me? \u201cThe farmer said, \u201cHang on a minute lady! I\u2019m carrying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chickens, and a goose. How on earth could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that? \u201cThe old lady replied, \u201cWell put the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the paint on top of the bucket, and I\u2019ll hold the chickens.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
