A restaurant in America wants to sue a customer after he left a $3,000 tip on a $13 meal.<\/p>\n

Tipping is one of the most debated issues on the internet.<\/p>\n

While some people believe you should tip every time you go out and make an order, others think it should be reserved for exceptional service only.<\/p>\n

But when one waitress received a humongous tip, it took a shocking turn that nobody expected\u2026<\/p>\n

Eric Smith visited Alfredo\u2019s Pizza in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and left a $3,000 tip on his $13 bill.<\/p>\n

The customer, who only ordered a plate of stromboli, reportedly left the tip of a lifetime as part of a social media trend called \u2018Tips For Jesus\u2019.<\/p>\n

The staff were gobsmacked when the money went through and praised the guy for his kindness.<\/p>\n

Mariana Lambert, a waitress at the eatery, was ecstatic at the huge sum of money.<\/p>\n

She said at the time: \u201cIt really meant a lot to me because everyone\u2019s going through stuff. It really touched my heart. I still can\u2019t believe it. I\u2019m still in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, everything would soon go wrong\u2026<\/p>\n

Alfredo\u2019s Vice President Leslie Minicozzi Galacci told Newsweek st a mistake \u2013 but the customer reportedly ended up ghosting them.<\/p>\n

Manager Zachary Jacobson told WNEP-TV: \u201cWe thought somebody was actually trying to do a good thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then now we are, what, three months later? Not even, and there\u2019s nothing. There\u2019s nothing to show for it at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cIt\u2019s just a little aggravating right now. It\u2019s been causing a lot of nonsense and drama.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alfredo\u2019s \u2013 mentioned in the hit TV show The Office \u2013 decided to take Smith to court, hoping to recuperate the $3,000.<\/p>\n
