Whereas once we had to rely on our parents and grandparents to pass<\/p>\n
down information regarding little known techniques that could help<\/p>\n
around the home, now we have an infinite resource at our fingertips.<\/p>\n
Every day helpful information is shared online, and if you know where to look, you can benefit from it immensely.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, we do know where to look, which means you do to (by association),<\/p>\n
and we recently stumbled upon a home-hack that we\u2019d never seen before.<\/p>\n
It involves toilet paper and your refrigerator \u2013 an unlikely<\/p>\n
combination, we know \u2013 so read on if we\u2019ve managed to pique your interest\u2026<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re anything like me, you\u2019ll leave it far too long before you think to give<\/p>\n
your refrigerator a proper clean. I\u2019m forever opening my fridge door to less-than-pleasant<\/p>\n
smells after leaving my house for a few days, or finding sticky<\/p>\n
patches where something\u2019s spilled and I haven\u2019t cleaned up properly.<\/p>\n
Which is why I did a double-take when I saw a particular life-hack doing the rounds on the internet recently which.<\/p>\n
Now, I\u2019m sure I\u2019m not the only one who experiences a musty smell<\/p>\n
upon opening the fridge from time to time. When this happens,<\/p>\n
it\u2019s more often than not caused by the fridge itself, not whatever food happens to be inside.<\/p>\n
As difficult as it is to believe, there\u2019s an extremely simple solution the problem involving toilet paper.<\/p>\n
Placing a roll of toilet paper in the refrigerator might not seem like<\/p>\n
an obvious thing to do for, well\u2026 anyone, but thanks to its absorbent properties<\/p>\n
\u2013 it\u2019s literally designed to soak up moisture, of course \u2013 it\u2019s reportedly great for removing odors.<\/p>\n
Put simply, placing a roll of toilet paper in the fridge creates a trap<\/p>\n
for any excess moisture and smelly particles, turning the refrigerator into a fresher space.<\/p>\n
Needless to say, a roll of toilet paper is far cheaper than<\/p>\n
household cleaning products, so you\u2019ve an added bonus there too!<\/p>\n
I guess now you\u2019ll know what\u2019s going on if you ever see your respective other placing toilet roll in the fridge.<\/p>\n
