He didn\u2019t make the choice because he was hurt or sick; he made it because of his beliefs and ideals.<\/p>\n<p>A student at Classical Academy named Brendan was set to wrestle a woman named Jaslynn Gallegos. He didn\u2019t want to compete against her, though, because the sport was so rough. Brendan said that he didn\u2019t make his choice because he didn\u2019t respect Jaslynn or her skills, but because of his own morals and beliefs.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Wrestling a girl | Male senior forfeits match against female wrestler\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6HLNoZqqKBs?feature=oembed\" width=\"790\" height=\"444\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-origwidth=\"790\" data-origheight=\"444\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Brendan still managed to finish sixth in the event, even though he chose to forfeit the game. On the other hand, Jaslynn came in fourth, and another woman fighter came in fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Even though Jaslynn didn\u2019t agree with Brendan\u2019s choice, she accepted his right to make it. She made it clear that her gender did not affect who she was as a wrestler and that she was happy to compete in the sport she loved.<\/p>\n<p>People are talking more about the role of faith and morals in sports after Brendan\u2019s choice.
