As per industry analysts, the company \u201cforgot\u201d its core customer base when they moved towards the \u201cwoke\u201d agenda. They defended their decision to introduce a number of campaigns with messages of inclusivity and LGBTQ+ pride-themed promotions stating the company attempted to appeal to younger and more progressive audiences.<\/p>\n
However, they faced backlash from their longtime supporters. \u201cI used to love Dunkin\u2019 for its simplicity\u2014coffee, donuts, and no politics. Now I feel like I\u2019m being lectured with every new ad. It\u2019s just not the Dunkin\u2019 I grew up with,\u201d one of their customers said.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s stock took a significant hit in the recent quarter. Experts believe there is a direct correlation between the company\u2019s political shift and its declining revenue.<\/p>\n
Sarah Johnson, an industry analyst, said, \u201cDunkin\u2019 made the mistake of forgetting who their core customers were. They tried to chase a trend that ultimately didn\u2019t resonate with the vast majority of their loyal customer base.\u201d<\/p>\n
These same words came straight from one of Dunkin\u2019 Donuts senior executives.
\nHe was reported saying, \u201cIt was the biggest mistake of our life. We thought we could appeal to a broader market, but in doing so, we\u2019ve lost the very people who made Dunkin\u2019 a household name.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an attempt to rebuild their reputation, the company reintroduced a series of promotions such as \u201cBuy One, Get One Free\u201d deals and reward programs designed to benefit loyal, long-term customers.<\/p>\n
A number of MAGA supporters have also boycotted Dunkin\u2019 Donuts.<\/p>\n
The reason for this are the emails that the company sent to Rumble chief executive Chris Pavlovski, who then posted them on X. He alleged that alleged that the fast-food chain declined to advertise with it because \u201cthe right wing culture of the site is too polarizing.\u201d<\/p>\n
