<\/p>\nAfter more than 50 years in the music industry, Dolly Parton is finally a true rock star. The beloved country legend is finally releasing her long-promised rock album, titled Rockstar, and she\u2019s doing it with the help of some of the biggest names in music history.<\/p>\n
Dolly just dropped the newest single from the album, a cover of The Beatles\u2019 classic \u201cLet it Be.\u201d While many have covered that beloved tune over the years, this cover is extra special\u2026 because it features both living Beatles, Sirs Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr!<\/p>\n
Few artists have the star power to reunite arguably the greatest band of all time, but Dolly made it happen. While Paul and Ringo have collaborated on occasion over the years, it\u2019s still a big get to have them both on board.<\/p>\n
As if two Beatles weren\u2019t enough, the track also features Peter Frampton on guitar and Mick Fleetwood on drums, making this a true all-star recording.<\/p>\n
The song has been well-received by critics and by fans of both Dolly Parton and The Beatles.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet it Be,\u201d first released in 1970, has endured as one of the most beloved and inspiring songs of the Beatles\u2019 prolific catalogue. Though credited to Lennon-McCartney, it was written by Paul after having a dream about his mother, Mary Patricia McCartney, who died when he was 14.<\/p>\n
Recorded during the band\u2019s legendary but tumultuous \u201cGet Back\u201d sessions, it was the Beatles\u2019 last single before their break-up in 1970 and provided the name of the band\u2019s final album, giving the song a bittersweet association with the Beatles\u2019 farewell.<\/p>\n
Dolly Parton\u2019s Rockstar is due to be released on November 17. Parton first teased the idea of a rock album last year, when she initially declined her nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, saying she had not \u201cearned the right\u201d to be inducted yet because she had not recorded a rock & roll album.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201cI do hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again \u2013 if I\u2019m ever worthy,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThis has\u2026 inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock \u2018n\u2019 roll album at some point in the future, which I have always wanted to do!\u201d she added, saying her husband was a \u201ctotal rock \u2018n\u2019 roll freak.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Parton stayed on the ballot and was ultimately inducted into the Rock Hall, which she accepted \u2014 and making good on her word, she got to work on a new rock album, which she officially announced last November.<\/p>\n
Rockstar will feature several new songs written by Dolly, but it primarily consists of covers of classic rock songs, often with the original artists helping out.<\/p>\n
The track listing includes \u201cEvery Breath You Take\u201d featuring Sting, \u201cBaby, I love Your Way\u201d with Peter Frampton, \u201cHeart of Glass\u201d with Debbie Harry, \u201cDon\u2019t Let the Sun Go Down on Me\u201d with Elton John and \u201cFree Bird\u201d with Lynyrd Skynyrd.<\/p>\n
In addition to \u201cLet It Be,\u201d Dolly has released two singles from the album: an original song called \u201cWorld on Fire\u201d and a cover of Queen\u2019s \u201cWe Are the Champions\u201d\/\u201dWe Will Rock You,\u201d which also promotes the 2024 Paris Olympics.<\/p>\n
