Carrie Underwood says her 7-year-old son Isaiah is realizing that mom’s job is “not normal”

Carrie Underwood, the American Idol winner turned global sensation, is realizing that her 7-year-old son, Isaiah, is grasping the uniqueness of her fame. The singer, who is now married to former hockey pro Mike Fisher and is a mother of two, just kicked off her Denim & Rhinestones tour. In an interview on Today, she shared how her growing children are starting to understand her unconventional career.

Isaiah, aged 7½, is beginning to realize that his mom’s job isn’t ordinary. Kids at school mention seeing her on TV, making him aware that his mother is a public figure. Carrie’s other son, Jacob, also shares in this realization as they navigate the world of celebrity parents.

As she embarks on her tour, Carrie is committed to spending quality time with her boys. She’s planned to have them join her on tour during breaks from school and return home whenever possible. Balancing motherhood and a high-stakes singing career is undoubtedly challenging, but Carrie Underwood is determined to make it work.
