Al Roker, Deborah Roberts celebrate 28th wedding anniversary with heartfelt tributes: ‘It’s been one great adventure’

After a year full of lows, it’s about time Al Roker and Deborah Roberts had a year full of highs.

Over the weekend, the couple celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Both shared heartfelt tributes to each other on Instagram along with throwback photos of the two from over the years.

“28 years ago, @deborahrobertsabc promised to be there for better, for worse, thick and thin. Good times and bad. But the greatest gift is the family she has given me. Happy Anniversary, sweetheart,” Roker, 69, captioned his post.

Last year, when the Today weatherman underwent a series of life-threatening medical emergencies, Roberts, 62, was always by her husband’s side, proving she would always be there for Roker, even in sickness and in health.

Roker included a carousel of photos in his anniversary post, showing several photos of the couple on their wedding day. He also included one of their children when they were younger and a photo of the couple when they met former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Roberts didn’t miss the chance to honor her husband of 28 years.

She shared her own carousel of photos of the couple, including one of them posing next to a cake decorated as the front page of The New York Times announcing their wedding, throughout the years alongside a sweet caption dedicated to Roker.

“Wow! It’s been 28 years. Beginning with a few jitters, great excitement and hearts brimming with hope , we embarked on this journey. And it has been one great adventure. This last year has taught us to cherish each moment. You are mine….I am yours. And where you are, I am too. Happy anniversary my dearest. Let’s keep making memories.”

Roker and Roberts first met in 1990 when they two were both working at NBC. Roberts later moved to ABC. The couple shares two children, Leila, 24, and Nick, 21, together. Roker also has another daughter, Courtney, 35, from a previous marriage.
