Richmond Mourns the Loss of Beloved Actor Adam Turck

The Richmond arts community is grieving the untimely passing of 35-year-old stage actor Adam Turck, whose life was tragically cut short on August 2, 2025. According to local reports, Turck was walking his dog when he came upon an altercation outside an apartment complex. Witnesses said he stepped in to help, an act of courage that sadly turned fatal after the situation escalated. Authorities later confirmed his death, while his family shared that his organs would be donated to help save the lives of others — a reflection of his enduring generosity.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Turck had called Richmond home for more than a decade, where he built a remarkable career in theater. His performances earned him multiple award nominations and the 2018 Best Actor honor for his role in Hand to God. He recently graced the stage with Cadence Theatre and was preparing to take on the lead in Dracula: A Comedy of Horrors. Friends and fellow artists described him as both a gifted performer and a kind-hearted individual whose presence could light up any room.

Outside the theater, Turck found another passion as a fitness trainer at Tequila and Deadlifts gym. His colleagues remembered him as a man of principle, energy, and compassion. “He was the kind of person people write about in books,” said gym owner Kerith Rae, reflecting on his integrity and selflessness. His loss has deeply affected both the performing arts and fitness communities, where he was loved for his authenticity and strength of character.

In the wake of his passing, Turck’s family and friends have launched a GoFundMe campaign to support his partner, Chelsea Burke, and to honor his legacy. Organizers noted that any remaining funds will go toward causes that mattered most to him. As tributes continue to pour in, Adam Turck is remembered not only for his talent but also for his courage, kindness, and the indelible mark he left on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
