$40K Puzzle Stumps ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Star

Viewers of Wheel of Fortune were buzzing after Adam Wredberg’s near-perfect run ended in heartbreak during the Bonus Round. While some argued the final puzzle was nearly impossible, others felt he had enough clues to solve it. Wredberg had an impressive start, quickly solving the opening puzzle and securing $13,100 plus a Tahitian cruise in the Mystery Round.

He maintained momentum, closing the main game with nearly $30,000 and two luxurious trips, setting himself up as a frontrunner. The high-stakes Bonus Round, however, brought disappointment. Standing with host Ryan Seacrest and his family, Wredberg selected the category “What Are You Wearing?”

After picking letters, the puzzle board read: “M _ F _ N _ _ _ L O T _ E S.” With the standard “R, S, T, L, N, E” and his extra letters “M, F, G, O,” he had just 10 seconds to solve the three-word phrase. He guessed phrases like “My fun clothes” and even joked, “My funcles,” but the correct answer was “My Fancy Clothes.” Missing it cost him a $40,000 bonus, leaving the audience groaning and social media alight with debate.
