Expert Discusses What Was Reported in Charlie Kirk’s Final Moments

A serious incident took place during a live event at Utah Valley University, where conservative activist Charlie Kirk passed away. In the days since, many people have expressed interest in understanding what his final moments may have been like.

Derek Van Schaik, a neuropsychologist, reviewed publicly available footage of the event and offered his professional perspective. Based on his analysis, Kirk may have lost consciousness almost immediately, within less than half a second.

Van Schaik explained that such a short time frame would not have allowed the brain to fully register what occurred. He added that certain movements visible in the footage, such as the raising of Kirk’s arms, were most likely automatic reflexes rather than deliberate actions.

Law enforcement officials continue to review the case. While not all details have been released, authorities confirmed that a person is in custody and that evidence is being examined to establish a clear understanding of events. Van Schaik’s assessment has offered some comfort to those mourning, suggesting that Kirk’s final moment was likely instantaneous and without prolonged suffering.
