Robin Williams Predicted Trump’s Rise? Resurfaced Clip Sparks Discussion

A resurfaced stand-up comedy clip of Robin Williams has gone viral for his pointed remarks about Donald Trump,

made more than a decade ago. In the 2012 footage, Williams humorously described a Thanksgiving visit to Atlantic City,

likening it to a surreal scene with Trump as “the Wizard of Oz” who “plays Monopoly with real buildings.”

The comedian’s sharp commentary now has viewers calling it “surprisingly prophetic.”

At the time, Trump was best known as a real estate developer and owner of several Atlantic City casinos,

including the Trump Plaza and the Trump Taj Mahal. Williams poked fun at Trump’s lavish empire

and mocked his ownership of beauty pageants like Miss America and Miss Universe, comparing

it to something wildly out of place. The jokes landed with extra impact today, considering Trump’s later political rise.

In his routine, Williams also referenced public comments Trump made about his daughter and joked about Trump’s

distinctive hairstyle, adding a touch of his signature physical comedy. Though meant as satire, many now see the routine

as a reflection of deeper truths that were visible even before Trump entered the political spotlight.

Fans have taken to social media to praise the late comedian, calling him a “genius” and expressing how deeply he is missed.

Robin Williams, who passed away in 2014, is remembered not just for his comedic brilliance but also for his ability

to capture cultural moments with humor and insight that continue to resonate today.
