The crash occurred at 8:47 p.m. ET on January 29 when the commercial jet and military helicopter collided during a training flight. Flight 5342, en route from Wichita, Kansas, to Ronald Reagan National Airport, had 60 passengers and four crew members on board. Both aircraft fell into the Potomac River.
