World Famous Megachurch Pastor Suffers On

Bishop T.D. Jakes, a prominent pastor and motivational speaker, experienced a health emergency following his sermon this weekend.In a statement released on Sunday, November 24, via his official social media channels, it was confirmed that the 67-year-old bishop is stable and under the care of medical professionals.

The announcement followed an episode during a sermon at The Potter’s House of Dallas, where Jakes was observed pausing and being assisted by others on stage.

The moment, which occurred during a live-streamed service, drew widespread attention and concern from viewers.

“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message,” the said in a statement. “Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals.”
While delivering his sermon onstage, Bishop T.D. Jakes was seen sitting in a chair, wiping his forehead with a cloth, and reflecting on the toll of preaching, telling his audience, “It’s giving back more than you gave.”

Shortly afterward, as he shared a few additional words, Jakes lowered his microphone and appeared to look downward before seemingly experiencing convulsions. Several individuals onstage quickly gathered around to assist him, and the livestream was subsequently cut off.

Bishop T.D. Jakes, whose full name is Thomas Dexter Jakes, is a renowned pastor, author, filmmaker, and motivational speaker. Born on June 9, 1957, in South Charleston, West Virginia, he is best known for founding The Potter’s House, a Dallas-based megachurch with a congregation of over 30,000 members. Established in 1996, The Potter’s House has grown into a prominent non-denominational and multicultural organization.

Jakes is celebrated for his impactful preaching style and his ability to address diverse topics, including faith, relationships, leadership, and personal growth. He has authored numerous bestselling books, such as Woman, Thou Art Loosed and Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive. Additionally, Jakes has ventured into filmmaking, producing faith-based movies like Heaven Is for Real and Miracles from Heaven.
