Farewell To The Legend Actor – Here’s Where He’s Heading…

Richard Gere, the acclaimed American actor, has sold his Connecticut estate for almost 11 million dollars, according to PEOPLE. He plans to relocate to Spain. The 75-year-old actor, considered one of the sexiest men alive, bought the New Canaan home in 2022 for $10.8 million—$50,000 more than his recent sale price. He purchased it from singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, who had originally acquired it for $16.5 million, taking a significant loss.

Gere lived on the property with his wife, Alejandra Silva (41), for two years and once considered turning it into a farm. Built in 1938, the house features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a pool, multiple gardens, and a three-bedroom guest cottage across 32 acres.

Recently, Gere shared that he plans to move overseas, making this sale a step toward his new chapter in Spain. He and his wife Silva have resided in the United States since they married in 2018. His wife is from Spain and the couple would like to be closer to her family. This is Gere’s third marriage.

Gere told Vanity Fair Spain in an interview, It would be nice for his wife to be with her friends, family and her native culture. He feels he should give his wife some time in Spain because Richard Gere described his upcoming move to Madrid as a “great adventure” for himself, his wife Alejandra Silva, and their two young sons, Alexander, 5, and James, 4. Gere also has an older son, Homer, 24, from his previous marriage to Carey Lowell, while Silva shares an 11-year-old son, Albert, with her ex-husband, Govind Friedland.
