Brad Pitt’s rarely seen younger brother is famous for his good deeds – and he looks so much like Brad

I know I have. I don’t know why, but I always find it a touch fascinating to see a famous pop icon or movie star’s parents. It’s the same with their children; what facial features have they passed on, what face does their legacy take on moving forward?

It might not be something some of you have ever thought about (feel free to label me weird in the comments) but it’s a point of interest to me. Which is why I can confess to having been extremely intrigued when I learned that Brad Pitt has a younger brother, one who has endeavored – despite the allures and attempts of others to persuade him – to remain out of the spotlight…

It’s fair to say there aren’t many people that know about Douglas Pitt’s existence. It’s also fair to assume that’s exactly the way he wants to keep it.

As per reports, the 56-year-old brother of Brad Pitt is very successful in his own right. Unlike his older sibling, however, he’s never had any intention of entering the world of showbiz.

The two brothers look very much alike, it must be said, but that’s apparently where the similarities end. Early on their lives, it became obvious that Brad and Douglas were destined for different paths.

Brad, as we well know, quickly made serious inroads into the entertainment business, ensuring that his name shone brightly and his rapidly-accumulated star power brighter still.

The Troy star’s natural charisma, gorgeous looks, and obvious talent in front of a camera propelled him to the dizzying heights of Hollywood in short order. There he has remained ever since, steadily becoming an icon of the film industry.

Douglas, meanwhile, opted for a slightly more subtle route through life.

As per reports, he launched his first IT business at the age of 24, thereafter continuing to develop within the field of information technology and computer science. These days, the self-styled “second most famous Pitt” is known as an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

For many years now, Douglas has been involved in a good deal of charity work. He’s reportedly worked as a Goodwill Ambassador in Tanzania, while he’s also funded schools, universities, and hospitals in his home state of Missouri.

On the subject of his wildly-famous older brother, Douglas himself has said he usually goes onto auto-pilot when he’s questioned about Brad.

“I appreciate the interest, I understand why people want to ask about him but, you know, I’ve answered the same question for 25 years,” he said.
